How long have you been in business?
Crafting Servers was established in May of 2013 and is a venture of XTC Limited Company. Although Crafting Servers is not that old, our parent company has been in the web hosting business for over 25 years.

Do I have access to the tech support center 24 hours a day 7 days a week?
Yes, our technical support center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide our customers service around the clock. Support is offered 24x7, sales assistance is not. If you require help with billing or provisioning, the sales team is available 9 AM to 9 PM Central Time USA Monday through Friday.

How long does it take for my account to be set up after signing up?
Your account will be setup immediately after sign-up. You will receive an account information email within a few minutes of signing-up. Should you not receive an initial email from us immediately after you sign up you need to contact us. There are instances where your account will not be set up right away. Some accounts are flagged for manual review. Also, if you sign up in a location that is at or very near capaity, you will have to wait for capacity to be freed up.

Do you offer web design, maintenance, and/or programming services?
Yes, we have a professionally staffed design team that is ready to create your site from scratch, or make any changes to your existing site. Contact us to request a free consultation with one of our design coordinators.

Do you place advertisements on customer's websites?
We do not advertise on our customers websites.

What is Web Space?
This indicates the amount of disk space that will be available to you on the server to hold your web site files.

What is Data Transfer / Bandwidth?
Bandwidth refers to the amount of data that is allowed to be transfered to and from our servers. Our plans are designed to have more than enough bandwidth than a normal website would need so that you do not need to be concerned about running out of bandwidth or 'overage charges' that other webhosting companies charge.

Do you offer any reseller hosting plans?
Yes, we offer reseller web hosting. These packages will enable you to start your own web hosting company using our services.

Do you offer any custom hosting packages?
All plan features are pre-defined and can only be extended with account upgrade. Upgrades are immediate and do not affect your hosting.

How can I make a payment?
We accept PayPal and most major credit cards - Visa, Discover and MasterCard.

Do you support ASP?
Since accounts are hosted in a UNIX environment, we do not support ASP.

Do you support PERL?
PERL is fully supported on our Linux hosting platform. The majority of existing CGI programs (generally perl scripts) that are available on the Internet have been developed on UNIX platforms and hence tend to install and operate much more smoothly under UNIX/Linux. We are running PERL version .

Do you support PHP?
We support both PHP 4 and PHP 5, a scripting language similar to HTML. Using PHP, you can track and authenticate users, serve up XML pages, add additional functionality to forms, and much more. This feature is supported by all Linux hosting solutions. We are running PHP version 7.4.33

What PHP settings can I change?
Below are some of the PHP settings that you can change in your php.ini file:

Do you support Macromedia Shockwave and Flash?
These Multimedia utilities are fully supported by any of our hosting plans. All Flash and Shockwave technologies are supported so you can feel comfortable when you host Flash and Shockwave movies. Even if the complete websites are designed in Flash it will run perfectly on our servers.

Do you support SQL databases?
Mysql and PostgreSQL server are fully supported by both our hosting plans. MySQL is the world's most popular Open Source Database, designed for speed, power and precision in mission critical, heavy load use. Its software architecture makes it extremely fast and easy to customize.

Do you support SSL?
Yes we do support SSL. With a SSL certificate you can have a secure encrypted website. You can either purchase your own one or use a shared certificate provided by us. You can buy certificates from us or many other providers.

Do you provide website traffic statistics?
Yes, you will have the industry-standard traffic analyzers Webalizer and a few others from within your control panel.

What are your DNS servers?
Please note that you will have to use the nameservers associated with the server you are hosted on. Each server has three configured nameservers. In order to confirm which nameservers you should use please refer to the email sent to you at the time of your account creation.

Can I host an on-line store?
Yes, we offer osCommerce shopping cart pre-installed - Open Source based online shop e-commerce solution. It features a rich set of out-of-the-box online shopping cart functionality that allows store owners to setup, run, and maintain their online stores with minimum effort and with no limitations. osCommerce has attracted a large community consisting of over 134,400 store owners and developers worldwide. Add-ons are being contributed on a daily basis, with over 3,900 add-ons available to date. These add-ons are created by the community to extend the features it offers. osCommerce is a PHP based software that uses a MySQL database server backend. With no special requirements, it is able to run on any of our Linux or Windows hosting plans.

There are also many other available open source and paid shopping carts available that are compatible with our hosting plans.

Can I accept payments on-line on my site?
Yes, without any limitations. You can signup with a Merchant Account and accept credit cards payments directly from your website, or you can also accpet payments with PayPal.

Do you support SFTP or SMTP over SSL?
These features are not supported at the moment.

Do you have CRON support?
Yes, CRON is fully supported and manageable through convenient control panel interface on any of our Linux hosting accounts.

Can I install custom COM objects?
These features are not supported at the moment.

Can I install custom PERL module?
If you need to install PERL module to serve various functionality required on your website, just submit ticket via helpdesk interface; required information is module name and download site (link). Your request will be reviewed and module will be tested for compatibility, security and reliability.

Can I install PHP PEAR module?
PHP PEAR module is just a set of PHP includes. You can download it from the PEAR repository (, extract from archive and upload to the place where your site application can locate it.

Do you allow hosting of adult websites?
We allow the hosting of anything that is legal within the laws of the United States.

Can I host or relay a live radio or a live television station?
Live broadcasting and relaying is not supported at this time.

Is my Macintosh machine compatible with your hosting plans?
Your Macintosh or Apple machine is fully compatible with our hosting plans.

Do you offer dialup internet services and virtual private network access?
We are not an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and do not offer dial-up service. This means you cannot dial into our servers via a modem or connect via Virtual Private Network and get on the Internet that way. You must have Internet access if you wish to retrieve your Email or work on your web site. If you require dail-up internet access, please visit our sister company Home Town Internet.

Can I access my account using telnet/SSH?
Remote access (via telnet or SSH) is not available with our shared hosting products by default due to security considerations. Jailed shell access can be granted under special circumstances. Open a support ticket if you require this access.

How can I cancel my hosting account and request a refund?
If you decided to cancel your hosting account, simply contact our representative via our helpdesk interface.

Do you offer a 30 day money back guarantee?

What is the uptime of your servers?
We guarantee that your hosting account will be up and running at least 99.9% of the time of any 12 month hosting period. There are many reasons why servers appear to be down at times and these could be possible problems with the ISP (your broadband or dialup provider)or defunct routers on a main network responsible for covering a specific area of the world.

Have you ever been hacked?
Our network specialists and server administrators use top of the line technology and security programs and monitoring procedures to ensure our servers are safe and secure. Your website is in good hands when you host with us.

What kind of backup policies do you have in place?
Regular backups of our servers are conducted for disaster recovery purposes. Since the backups are scheduled and overwrite previous backups, we cannot guarantee the backup will contain the exact desired content for every customer. Upon request, we will provide complimentary copies of any backup content available. We do, however, encourage our customers to regularly backup their content locally and before any major changes.

How is your network and server infrastructure setup?
Our network infrastructure is powered by CISCO routers and switches. In many of our datacenters we use multiple Cisco routers for fastest packet delivery, efficient and smart routing and for rock-solid stability.

The robust exterior-independent design of our data center allows us to serve the needs of our clients regardless of what happens in the outside world. Our facility is climate sealed from the outside and climate controlled from the inside to ensure maximum security against server heat-outages.
